Dean Lindo

Dean Lindo is a Belizean lawyer and politician. He was one of the founding members of the United Democratic Party of Belize and was its leader from 1974 to 1979.

Lindo is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.

He was elected to the Belize House of Representatives as member for Fort George in 1974, defeating Said Musa of the People's United Party by 46 votes. In 1979, however, he lost the seat to Musa by a margin of 71 votes. He regained the seat in 1984, defeating Musa by a margin of 57 votes, but lost to Musa in the 1989 election by a margin of 449 votes. He subsequently left politics. He maintains a law office in Belize and acts as a consultant to the UDP and its leader, his nephew, Dean Barrow.
