De La Salle Collegiate High School - Religious Notes

Religious Notes

Prayers at De La Salle open with the phrase, "Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God."

Classroom formal and informal prayers usually close with the following:

Reader: “St. John Baptist de La Salle.”

Response: “Pray for us.”

Reader: “Live Jesus in our hearts.”

Response: “Forever.” They share this prayer with Cincinnati La Salle High School. Both are Christian Brothers schools.

Famous quotes containing the words religious and/or notes:

The short lesson that comes out of long experience in political agitation is something like this: all the motive power in all of these movements is the instinct of religious feeling. All the obstruction comes from attempting to rely on anything else. Conciliation is the enemy.
    John Jay Chapman (1862–1933)

There are only two or three human stories, and they go on repeating themselves as fiercely as if they had never happened before; like the larks in this country, that have been singing the same five notes over for thousands of years.
    Willa Cather (1873–1947)
