Premise
The series follows four friends—Dawson Leery, Joey Potter, Jen Lindley, and Pacey Witter—living in a small fictional seaside town called Capeside, Massachusetts who were in the early part of their sophomore year when the series began. The lead character, Dawson Leery, mirrors Williamson's interests and background.
