Degree Programs
The Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees are transfer degrees awarded without designation of major, but do follow curriculum transfer plans. These degrees indicate that a students has completed a course study essentially equivalent to the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. Usually, the AA degree is the best choice for students majoring in humanities, liberal arts, or the social sciences. The AS degree is usually the best option for students majoring in math, science, engineering, or business. Vocational Certificate Programs, a one or two year course of study, provide the student with the skills necessary to obtain entry level employment. Students with prior training or education may apply for credit or advanced study in an occupational program.
