Danity Kane, Day26, and Donnie J. Klang were aired together on the second season of Making the Band 4. The series showed the two groups doing performances, living together, and the relationships between members of the bands. During the series, it showed Richard's relationship with Day26's Qwanell Mosley grow, and the two enter into a romantic relationship. Qwanell even proposed to her through Twitter in less than 140 characters, but Richard never responded on Twitter. She told Vibe magazine, "He talked about it to me but I didn’t know he was gonna do that. I feel that’s between him and I but I’m happy that he’s happy with me and that’s all I’ll say about that." However, after a 5-year relationship, the two are currently no longer together as confirmed by Richard on Power 105: The Breakfast Club.
