David Harsanyi

David Harsanyi is an American journalist. He is a nationally syndicated columnist and senior reporter at Human Events. Formerly a sports journalist and then an opinion columnist at The Denver Post, his writings on politics and culture have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard, Washington Post, National Review, Reason, Christian Science Monitor, Jerusalem Post, The Globe and Mail, The Hill, Sports Illustrated Online, and other publications.

Harsanyi's column is nationally syndicated by Creators Syndicate. His first book is Nanny State: How Food Fascists, Teetotaling Do-Gooders, Priggish Moralists, and other Boneheaded Bureaucrats are Turning America into a Nation of Children (Doubleday/Broadway). He left his position writing op-eds for The Denver Post to work for Glenn Beck's website, TheBlaze.

Harsanyi's family defected from Hungary. He believes that gay marriage does not undermine marriage between men and women and that it will not trigger societal instability.
