David Hamilton is the county administrator for Hernando County, Florida. He served as mayor of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario from 1992 to 1997, and was previously a county administrator in rural Minnesota.
Hamilton was born c. 1950 in Fort William, Ontario to James Murray Hamilton and Martha Alice Adams, an American, who married in 1944. He attended the Fort William Collegiate Institute.
