Darkwar Saga - Concept

Concept

In the fantasy novels of Feist, a Riftwar is war between two worlds that are connected by some sort of dimensionless gap (rift). In Feist's invented history there are several riftwars. The first Riftwar between Midkemia and Kelewan is described in the trilogy The Riftwar Saga. This Saga is a continuation of Feist's preceding works and so far suggests an upcoming, fourth riftwar. Raymond E. Feist has confirmed that there are five Riftwars in total. The Darkwar will be followed by the Demonwar and Chaoswar.

Famous quotes containing the word concept:

The new concept of the child as equal and the new integration of children into adult life has helped bring about a gradual but certain erosion of these boundaries that once separated the world of children from the word of adults, boundaries that allowed adults to treat children differently than they treated other adults because they understood that children are different.
    Marie Winn (20th century)

Behind the concept of woman’s strangeness is the idea that a woman may do anything: she is below society, not bound by its law, unpredictable; an attribute given to every member of the league of the unfortunate.
    Christina Stead (1902–1983)

The heritage of the American Revolution is forgotten, and the American government, for better and for worse, has entered into the heritage of Europe as though it were its patrimony—unaware, alas, of the fact that Europe’s declining power was preceded and accompanied by political bankruptcy, the bankruptcy of the nation-state and its concept of sovereignty.
    Hannah Arendt (1906–1975)
