Although they seperated not long after, they remained friends and Jan looked after Darcy when his health began to fail upon his final release from prison. Darcy Dugan died in Glebe, New South Wales from Parkinson's disease on 22 August 1991. He was buried at Rookwood Catholic Cemetery on 29 August 1991.

Famous quotes containing the words final and/or years:

Again and again, faith in a possible satisfaction of the human race breaks through at the very moments of most zealous discord because humankind will never be able to live and work without this consoling delusion of its ascent into morality, without this dream of final and ultimate accord.
    Stefan Zweig (18811942)

Are you more likely to tolerate drivel than you were four years ago? I think the answer is yes. Four years of Reagan has deadened the senses against a barrage of uninterrupted nonsense.
    Alexander Cockburn (b. 1941)
