Connection To The Baraka School

The academy is situated on the campus of the Baraka School, featured in the 2005 documentary The Boys of Baraka. The school had been used as an outpost by the Baltimore City School District to educate 7th and 8th grade boys from Baltimore, Maryland until it closed in 2003 due to heightened security.
