Acting

Nicholls took a brief absence from CITV in December 2000, when she took to the stage displaying her acting, singing and dancing talents, playing the leading role of Snow White at the Opera House in Manchester. The following years, she appeared as Snow White in the other successful pantomimes at Northampton, Sunderland, Southport and Weston-super-Mare, and in December 2005/January 2006, playing another leading role as Fairy Crystal in the Snow White pantomime at the Grand Opera House in York.

As well as the annual pantomime performances, in 2004 she also starred on stage in the Hammond Production Group's The Young Ones Summer Holiday in Worthing.

Famous quotes containing the word acting:

But when I saw that they were not acting consistently with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, “If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”
    Bible: New Testament, Galatians 2:14.

Often, when there is a conflict between parent and child, at its very hub is an expectation that the child should be acting differently. Sometimes these expectations run counter what is known about children’s growth. They stem from remembering oneself, but usually at a slightly older age.
    Ellen Galinsky (20th century)

It would be easy ... to regard the whole of world 3 as timeless, as Plato suggested of his world of Forms or Ideas.... I propose a different view—one which, I have found, is surprisingly fruitful. I regard world 3 as being essentially the product of the human mind.... More precisely, I regard the world 3 of problems, theories, and critical arguments as one of the results of the evolution of human language, and as acting back on this evolution.
    Karl Popper (1902–1994)
