Daniel Nazareth - Early Life

Early Life

Daniel Nazareth spent most of his childhood improvising day-dreams at the piano. He still does. Starting violin lessons at the age of 7 and leading his High School Orchestra (St. Mary's High School, Bombay, India) drew him into the magic of orchestral music making. 1969 he attained a Piano Licentiate at the Royal Schools of Music, London. He graduated at the Vienna Hochschule fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Vienna, Austria, from the legendary Swarowsky/ Österreicher class with an Honors Diploma in Orchestral Conducting in 1975. Earlier, to appease parental concern, he graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Commerce and Economics degree from Bombay University, before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1971.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

When lilacs last in the dooryard bloomed
And the great star early drooped in the western sky in the night,
I mourned, and yet shall mourn with ever-returning spring.
Ever-returning spring, trinity sure to me you bring,
Lilac blooming perennial and drooping star in the west,
And thought of him I love.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

O life as futile, then, as frail!
O for thy voice to soothe and bless!
What hope of answer, or redress?
Behind the veil, behind the veil.
    Alfred Tennyson (1809–1892)
