Dancing on the Valentine is a Duran Duran Video 45 released by PMI in the UK and Sony in the US in October 1984 (1984-10). It was released on VHS, Beta, Laserdisc, and Video8 (8mm) format.
Dancing on the Valentine is a collection of the three videos from Seven and the Ragged Tiger.
The title comes from the lyrics of "The Reflex": "You gone too far this time / But I'm dancing on the valentine". The artwork was also highly influenced by the release of "The Reflex" single, earlier in the year.
A re-release in 1991 combined Dancing on the Valentine with the band's previous two-track Video 45, Duran Duran.
Famous quotes containing the words dancing and/or valentine:
“Come, let me sing into your ear;
Those dancing days are gone,
All that silk and satin gear;
Crouch upon a stone,
Wrapping that foul body up
In as foul a rag....”
—William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
“There would have to be something wrong with someone who could throw out a child’s first Valentine card saying, “I love you, Mommy.””
—Ginger Hutton (20th century)
