Famous quotes containing the words dancing, stony and/or road:

You and I are past our dancing days.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

An ancient bridge, and a more ancient tower,
A farmhouse that is sheltered by its wall,
    An acre of stony ground,
Where the symbolic rose can break in flower,
Old ragged elms, old thorns innumerable....
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

The road to wisdom?—Well, it’s plain
    and simple to express:
    Err
    and err
    and err again
    but less
    and less
    and less.
    Piet Hein (b. 1905)
