Castellaneta lives in Los Angeles with his wife Deb Lacusta. He is a vegetarian and teetotaler and exercises regularly (despite being known for voicing a character who eats meat, drinks beer, and rarely, if ever, exercises). Castellaneta also practices T'ai Chi. His mother Elsie Castellaneta died in January 2008.
