Sports
Lovelock was for many years a contributor to the SBS show The World Game.
He also co-hosted ABC Radio Grandstand for a brief period.
Until recently he co-hosted Football Fever, a weekly football radio show on Sky Sports Radio, created by the late Paul Williams, alongside Les Murray and other football journalists, such as Francis Awaratife. The show was axed by the station, who decided to provide more airtime to its coverage of horse racing. Lovelock claimed in final episodes during March 2010 to be searching for another station for the program to be revived on.
He is also a yoga instructor in Mauritius, and can be seen on Sky News alongside former Socceroo Paul Wade on Monday evenings. He is a known Southampton, Cagliari and New York Jets supporter.

Famous quotes containing the word sports:
“There be some sports are painful, and their labor
Delight in them sets off. Some kinds of baseness
Are nobly undergone, and most poor matters
Point to rich ends.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“Sweet smiling village, loveliest of the lawn,
Thy sports are fled and all thy charms withdrawn;
Amidst thy bowers the tyrants hand is seen,
And desolation saddens all thy green;
One only master grasps the whole domain,
And half a tillage stints thy smiling plain;”
—Oliver Goldsmith (1730?1774)
“Short of a wholesale reform of college athleticsa complete breakdown of the whole system that is now focused on money and powerthe womens programs are just as doomed as the mens are to move further and further away from the academic mission of their colleges.... We have to decide if thats the kind of success for womens sports that we want.”
—Christine H. B. Grant, U.S. university athletic director. As quoted in the Chronicle of Higher Education, p. A42 (May 12, 1993)
