Dalma Hills

The Dalma Hills are located near the industrial city of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, eastern India. These small hills are part of the Dalma Forest reserve, famous for its Asiatic elephants, and are a popular trekking destination. Tata Steel and the Jharkhand Forest Department maintain two guest houses atop the hills. The Dalma Hills are very much attractive and beautiful. They are also present on the meeting of the rivers 'Subarnarekha' and 'Kharkai'.The scene is beautiful but people prefer not to visit them at dusk. The atmosphere is cool and cloudy. It is also a tourist attraction, good for photography. The Hudco area of jamshedpur is built on the hills so there are so many ups and downs. The park of Hudco has ladders which take us up to the top where we can see the Tata plant and Tata Motors test drive area.

Famous quotes containing the word hills:

It was the most wild and desolate region we had camped in, where, if anywhere, one might expect to meet with befitting inhabitants, but I heard only the squeak of a nighthawk flitting over. The moon in her first quarter, in the fore part of the night, setting over the bare rocky hills garnished with tall, charred, and hollow stumps or shells of trees, served to reveal the desolation.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
