Dallas Comic Con

The Dallas Comic Con is two-day event now held annually in the Dallas, Texas, area. Larger in scale than the Sci-Fi Expo events under the same OfficialPix management, the Dallas Comic Con (or DCC for short) focuses on comic book artists, writers, and publishers. These events usually also feature question and answer sessions, a large dealers room, and a number of comics and media guests signing autographs. The event is produced by C2 Ventures, co-owned by Ben Stevens and Philip Wise. The 2012 Dallas Comic Con attracted roughly 20,000 attendees.

Famous quotes containing the words dallas and/or comic:

If a foreign country doesn’t look like a middle-class suburb of Dallas or Detroit, then obviously the natives must be dangerous as well as badly dressed.
    Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)

Whereas the comic confronts simply logical contradictions, the tragic confronts a moral predicament. Not minor matters of true and false but crucial questions of right and wrong, good and evil face the tragic character in a tragic situation.
—Marie Collins Swabey. Comic Laughter, ch. 7, Yale University Press (1961)
