Public Transport
Public transport to and from the airport is limited to infrequent buses for Marmaris and Fethiye. Primary means of transport to and from the airport is taking a taxi. Although taxies run on predefined tariff, they are not cheap. E.g. for a 6 km ride between the airport and the Dalaman town, they are able to charge 25TL, in the absence of any public transport.

Famous quotes containing the words public and/or transport:
“Beluthahatchee is a country where all unpleasant doings and sayings are forgotten, a land of forgiveness and forgetfulness. When a woman accusingly reminds her man of something in the past, he replies, I thought that was in Beluthahatchee. Or a person may say to another, to dismiss some matter, Oh, thats in Beluthahatchee.”
—For the State of Florida, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“One may disavow and disclaim vices that surprise us, and whereto our passions transport us; but those which by long habits are rooted in a strong and ... powerful will are not subject to contradiction. Repentance is but a denying of our will, and an opposition of our fantasies.”
—Michel de Montaigne (15331592)
