Expansion
A new integrated terminal is under construction at Dabolim. The foundation stone was laid on 21 February 2009. Construction work on the terminal began in May 2011 and is expected to be completed by December 2012 at an estimated cost of Rs. 500 crore. The terminal will accommodate approximately 2750 passengers per hour and will be equipped with eleven aerobridges, out of which, four will be installed in the first phase. The terminal will also feature an in-line baggage scanning system and a state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant.
