New Rules
Given the collapse of society, the Wealth system from d20 Modern (which is based on a character's credit and standard of living as much as their cash on hand) no longer applies, and in its place the barter system is used. In addition, due to the setting, certain items (such as ammunition) are worth more than they would be in a functioning society, while others (such as electronic entertainment) are worthless. The new barter system prices all items according their relative value in a post-apocalyptic setting, using Trade Units in place of dollars or Wealth DCs.
d20 Apocalypse adds a few other new rules to the game system, including rules for handling vehicle modification and fallout areas, as well as rules for scavenging, post-apocalyptic equipment, and mutations.

Famous quotes containing the word rules:
“Never invite to dinner: those who wont decide until the last minute; those who come more than half an hour late; those who want to bring along two or three friends; drunks; monologists; those who stay until three oclock in the morning; those who think that conversation means having an argument; those who take a high moral tone; those who are stupid, ugly, or dull. Enforcement of these rules will enable one to eat alone every night in comfort.”
—Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
“The new grammar of race is constructed in a way that George Orwell would have appreciated, because its rules make some ideas impossible to expressunless, of course, one wants to be called a racist.”
—Stephen Carter (b. 1954)
