Sequels
Cube, achieving the cult status, has been awakened by a sequel, Cube 2: Hypercube, released in 2003. The sequel explains little more about the Cube's background, and also the structure has been changed; instead of industrial-based rooms, the rooms are now high-tech operational rooms, and the traps have evolved to dissolve illusion, time, space and reality.
In 2004, a prequel, dubbed Cube Zero, has been placed. The movie is abruptly different from the first two, and it is more based on the first movie rather than the second. The movie explains the whole background of the Cube and also features the exterior of the Cube and the meaning and purpose of the Cube, and the people that control it.
