CSI: Miami (Crime Scene Investigation: Miami) is an American police procedural television series that ran from September 23, 2002 to April 8, 2012 on CBS. It is the first spin-off of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The pilot episode was first broadcast in United States on May 9, 2002, as an episode of CSI from the second season. The series was produced in partnership with the Canadian media company Alliance Atlantis and CBS Television Studios.
On February 1, 2012, the network announced that the tenth season of CSI: Miami would be trimmed to nineteen episodes to make room for the debut of mid-season replacement NYC 22. On May 13, 2012, both series were canceled.
