Crustless bread is bread without crusts. On July 27, 2005, British food group RHM announced it was to launch a crustless bread product under its Hovis brand, targeted at young children, who generally prefer the softer, milder tasting part of a loaf. The product is the first loaf to be baked without a crust, yet with a palatable shell which supports the foam. This innovation was created by RHM Technology and further developed with British Bakeries. Other bread manufacturers have released crustless bread, with the crusts removed.
