Cross Level
Track geometry is three-dimensional geometry of track layouts and associated measurements used in design, construction and maintenance of railroad tracks. The subject is used in the context of standard, speed limits and other regulations in the areas of track gauge, alignment, elevation, curvature and track surface. Although, the geometry of the tracks is three-dimensional by nature, the standards are usually expressed in two separate layouts for horizontal and vertical.

Famous quotes containing the words cross and/or level:
“Expecting me to grovel,
she carefully covers both feet
with the hem of her skirt.
She pretends to hide
a coming smile
and wont look straight at me.
When I talk to her,
she chats with her friend
in cross tones.
Even this slim girls rising anger
delights me,
let alone her deep love.”
—Amaru (c. seventh century A.D.)
“Alls oblique;
Theres nothing level in our cursed natures
But direct villainy. Therefore be abhorred
All feasts, societies, and throngs of men!”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
