Education
Primary education is provided by Ysgol Treferthyr on Lôn Bach, which has 130 pupils. At the last school inspection by Estyn, in 2004, 6 per cent of pupils were entitled to free school meals and over 60 per cent came from homes where Welsh was the main spoken language; Welsh is the main medium of teaching. Secondary school pupils mainly attend Ysgol Eifionydd in Porthmadog.
