Creswell Model Village is an arts and crafts style model village built in the English town of Creswell, Derbyshire in 1895 by the Bolsover Colliery Company, designed by architect Percy B. Houfton to accommodate the workers and families of the newly founded Creswell Colliery (on land leased from the Welbeck Estate). Influenced by garden village principles, its purpose was to provide the workers with modern facilities; the village even provided a miniature railway to deliver coal to the houses. Designed around a large village green the houses are of varying styles and form a large oval shape with an access road through the centre. 'The Model', as it is known, has recently been refurbished.
It is within the parish of Elmton-with-Creswell in the district of Bolsover on the northeast edge of the county of Derbyshire.
