Sacramento French Film Festival

The Sacramento French Film Festival is an annual event held in July at the Crest Theatre. It celebrates the present as well as the rich history of French cinema featuring new releases and rarely seen classics. It is the only festival dedicated to French cinema in Northern California and one of only two on the West coast.

Famous quotes containing the words french, film and/or festival:

One thing that makes art different from life is that in art things have a shape ... it allows us to fix our emotions on events at the moment they occur, it permits a union of heart and mind and tongue and tear.
    —Marilyn French (b. 1929)

This film is apparently meaningless, but if it has any meaning it is doubtless objectionable.
—British Board Of Film Censors. Quoted in Halliwell’s Filmgoer’s Companion (1984)

The surest guide to the correctness of the path that women take is joy in the struggle. Revolution is the festival of the oppressed.
    Germaine Greer (b. 1939)
