Creamed Honey

Creamed honey is a honey that has been processed to control crystallization. Creamed honey contains a large number of small crystals, which prevent the formation of larger crystals that can occur in unprocessed honey. The processing also produces a honey with a smooth spreadable consistency.

Other names for creamed honey include whipped honey, spun honey, churned honey, honey fondant, and (in the UK) set honey. It may also be called candied honey, though that term generally refers to crystallised honey.

Famous quotes containing the words creamed and/or honey:

All forms of beauty, like all possible phenomena, contain an element of the eternal and an element of the transitory—of the absolute and of the particular. Absolute and eternal beauty does not exist, or rather it is only an abstraction creamed from the general surface of different beauties. The particular element in each manifestation comes from the emotions: and just as we have our own particular emotions, so we have our own beauty.
    Charles Baudelaire (1821–1867)

    Maid
    of the luminous grey-eyes,
    Mistress
of honey and marble implacable white thighs
    and Goddess,
    chaste daughter of Zeus.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)
