The Cranleigh Line was a short railway line that connected Guildford, the county town of Surrey, with the West Sussex market town of Horsham, via Cranleigh, a distance of 19.25 miles (31 km). The branch line closed on 14 June 1965 four months before its centenary, the only Surrey railway closure under The Reshaping of British Railways.

Famous quotes containing the word line:
“The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin.”
—Bob Dylan [Robert Allen Zimmerman] (b. 1941)
