Craig Armstrong (footballer)

Steven Craig Armstrong (born 23 May 1975) is an English professional footballer and manager who plays as a defender and midfielder. He has management experiennce at two non-league clubs.

He has previously played for Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Bristol Rovers, Gillingham, Watford, Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Grimsby Town, Bradford City, Cheltenham Town, Burton Albion, Kidderminster Harriers, Mansfield Town, Forest Green Rovers and Boston United. In 2011 he briefly held the position of player-manager of Eastwood Town. He is currently plying his trade at any local pub team short of a fifth substitute and doing occasional after dinner speaking including VIP guest speaking at NFFC.

Craig was proudly asked to represent a Nottingham forest over 40 XI in a tournament in tenerife, despite being only 37 armstrong was allowed to play with one of his team mates quoting " hes been playing like at 40 year old for the last 20 years. day 1 started well with forest losing only 1 of the 4 matches due to a 'poorly ankle' Armstrong only featured in the 1 match they lost Once Armstrong returns he will go straight into his panto rehearsals as Tiny Tim, he is playing alongside his old friend Neil Vanderwalt who takes the lead role of Scrouge. The casting of these roles shows their talents to the best, with Armstrong's hobble and Vanderwalt's ability to peel an orange whilst in his pocket these were easy roles to cast.
