Crack A Bottle - Critical Reception

Critical Reception

Billboard gave a positive review of the song: "Although not quite as strong as the title track to Eminem's 2004 album Encore, the return of Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent has been anticipated for a long time, and it is sure to put Eminem back atop the marquee. His skills remain some of the best in hip-hop, and the accompanying contributions make the music that little bit more stronger." Rolling Stone commented negatively on the song, saying that it is one of the weakest tracks on the album, along the other single "We Made You". The song won at the 52nd Grammy Awards in the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group category.

Famous quotes containing the words critical and/or reception:

From whichever angle one looks at it, the application of racial theories remains a striking proof of the lowered demands of public opinion upon the purity of critical judgment.
    Johan Huizinga (1872–1945)

I gave a speech in Omaha. After the speech I went to a reception elsewhere in town. A sweet old lady came up to me, put her gloved hand in mine, and said, “I hear you spoke here tonight.” “Oh, it was nothing,” I replied modestly. “Yes,” the little old lady nodded, “that’s what I heard.”
    Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)
