Coxswain - Rowing

Rowing

The coxswain sits in either the bow, or the stern of the boat (depending on the type of boat) and controls the steering, speed, timing, and fluidity of the boat. their job is made easier with the help of a coxbox, witch was invented in 1978. the "Cox" is in charge of making practices, and races go smoothly. from the time of rigging, to de-rigging the boats. without the Cox, there would be less order with the rowers.
