Goals of A Corporate University
Corporate universities are set up for a variety of reasons, but most organizations have the same basic needs. These are to:
- Organize training
- Start and support change in the organization
- Get the most out of the investment in education
- Bring a common culture, loyalty, and belonging to a company
- Remain competitive in today's economy
- Retain employees
CUs offer valuable training and education to employees, but they also help organizations retain and promote key employees. Although a CU may sound attractive, there is a lot of work that goes into the planning and implementation of such a project.

Famous quotes containing the words goals, corporate and/or university:
“Artists have a double relationship towards nature: they are her master and her slave at the same time. They are her slave in so far as they must work with means of this world so as to be understood; her master in so far as they subject these means to their higher goals and make them subservient to them.”
—Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (17491832)
“The generation of women before us who rushed to fill the corporate ranks altered our expectations of what working motherhood could be, tempered our ambition, and exploded the supermom myth many of us held dear.”
—Melinda M. Marshall (20th century)
“I had a classmate who fitted for college by the lamps of a lighthouse, which was more light, we think, than the University afforded.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
