Cornell Institute For Public Affairs - MPA Program

MPA Program

CIPA students, or "fellows," have the flexibility to design individualized plans of study using faculty resources from across the university. More than 100 Cornell University faculty members representing 25+ units make up the field of public affairs. CIPA has approximately 230 students enrolled in its M.P.A. program.

Students choose their course of study—domestic or international—from a broad range of options: 1) Economics and Financial Policy; 2) Environmental Policy; 3) Government, Politics, and Policy Studies; 4) Human Rights and Social Justice; 5) International Development Studies; 6) Public and Nonprofit Management; 7) Science and Technology Policy; and 8) Social Policy. Within each concentration, the opportunity exists for further specialization based on a student's interests.
