Continental Divide Trail - Wyoming

Wyoming

The CDT includes a large section of rangeland in the middle of the state, as well as the Wind River Range and Absaroka Range in the northwest portion of Wyoming. The CDT traverses a large portion of the southern half of Yellowstone National Park. Hikers must decide on a route with regard to the Great Divide Basin at the southern end of the state. The shortest route is through the middle, and water availability is uncertain in most years.

Famous quotes containing the word wyoming:

The admission of the States of Wyoming and Idaho to the Union are events full of interest and congratulation, not only to the people of those States now happily endowed with a full participation in our privileges and responsibilities, but to all our people. Another belt of States stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
    Benjamin Harrison (1833–1901)
