Duty Holders

Persons with specific duties under the regulations are the client, designer, principal contractor, other contractors, and a new duty holder introduced by the regulations: ‘CDM co-ordinator'.

Each of these duty holders, apart from the client, must be "competent" to act in the project. Details of the duties of each principal and issues about competence follow.

Famous quotes containing the words duty and/or holders:

[If not re-elected in 1864] then it will be my duty to so co-operate with the President elect, as to save the Union between the election and the inauguration; as he will have secured his election on such ground that he can not possibly save it afterwards.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

Their holders have always seemed to me like a woman who should undertake at a state fair to run a sewing machine, under pretense of advertising it, while she had never spent an hour in learning its use.
    Jane Grey Swisshelm (1815–1884)
