Famous quotes containing the words form of government, form of, form and/or government:

The Republican form of government is the highest form of government; but because of this it requires the highest type of human nature—a type nowhere at present existing.
    Herbert Spencer (1820–1903)

The Republican form of government is the highest form of government; but because of this it requires the highest type of human nature—a type nowhere at present existing.
    Herbert Spencer (1820–1903)

Every New Englander might easily raise all his own breadstuffs in this land of rye and Indian corn, and not depend on distant and fluctuating markets for them. Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

I think that it is enough if they have God on their side, without waiting for that other one. Moreover, any man more right than his neighbors constitutes a majority of one already.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
