History
Concurrent traces its history to Interdata which was founded in 1966. In 1973, Interdata was acquired by Perkin-Elmer which developed computers under its own name until spinning off the division in 1985 into Concurrent Computer Corporation. Concurrent was in turn acquired in 1988 by the smaller MASSCOMP, which then assumed the name of the larger Concurrent Computer Corporation.
