Records at Concord State Prison suggested that 64 percent of the 32 subjects would return to prison within six months after parole. However, after six months, 25 per cent of those on parole had returned, six for technical parole violations and two for new offenses. Few short-term projects with prisoners have been effective to even a minor degree. In addition, the personality test scores indicated a measurable positive change when pre-psilocybin and post-psilocybin results were compared.

Famous quotes containing the word results:

... dependence upon material possessions inevitably results in the destruction of human character.
    Agnes E. Meyer (1887–1970)

Social improvement is attained more readily by a concern with the quality of results than with the purity of motives.
    Eric Hoffer (1902–1983)

Nothing is as difficult as to achieve results in this world if one is filled full of great tolerance and the milk of human kindness. The person who achieves must generally be a one-ideaed individual, concentrated entirely on that one idea, and ruthless in his aspect toward other men and other ideas.
    Corinne Roosevelt Robinson (1861–1933)
