Current Curriculum Use

Burt Kaufman, a mathematics curriculum specialist, headed the team at SIU writing CSMP. He eventually started the Institute for Mathematics & Computer Science (IMACS). IMACS is a private education business focusing on the instruction of students from first grade through high school.

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or curriculum:

“I” is a militant social tendency, working to hold and enlarge its place in the general current of tendencies. So far as it can it waxes, as all life does. To think of it as apart from society is a palpable absurdity of which no one could be guilty who really saw it as a fact of life.
    Charles Horton Cooley (1864–1929)

If we focus exclusively on teaching our children to read, write, spell, and count in their first years of life, we turn our homes into extensions of school and turn bringing up a child into an exercise in curriculum development. We should be parents first and teachers of academic skills second.
    Neil Kurshan (20th century)
