Commander Adama - Richard Hatch Novels

Richard Hatch Novels

Richard Hatch's relaunch novels are set considerably after the end of the TV series. E.g. a child of Starbuck and Cassiopeia that did not exist in the series is almost of age at the begin of the novels. Also the Boxey from the series has grown up and has become a Colonial warrior like his step father.

The novels begin with the death of Adama: "Adama was dying".

Famous quotes containing the words richard, hatch and/or novels:

I’m beginning to believe that Killer Illiteracy ought to rank near heart disease and cancer as one of the leading causes of death among Americans. What you don’t know can indeed hurt you, and so those who can neither read nor write lead miserable lives, like Richard Wright’s character, Bigger Thomas, born dead with no past or future.
    Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)

He looked at Senator Hatch and said, “I’m going to make her cry. I’m going to sing ‘Dixie’ until she cries.” And I looked at him and said, “Senator Helms, your singing would make me cry if you sang ‘Rock of Ages’.”
    Carol Moseley-Braun (b. 1947)

An art whose limits depend on a moving image, mass audience, and industrial production is bound to differ from an art whose limits depend on language, a limited audience, and individual creation. In short, the filmed novel, in spite of certain resemblances, will inevitably become a different artistic entity from the novel on which it is based.
