Colonial High School - Colonial Chorus

Colonial Chorus

Colonial High School's choir is one of the most successful in the county, led by their director Peter Rodrigues and their assistant director Catherine Cirnigliaro. Having been an honor Choir for Disney's Candlelight Processional for many years, the students take great pride in their achievements. In December 2011, Colonial's Chamber Choir was invited to perform at the White House. This also included notable students from the other choirs as replacements such as Cindelyz Montero and Gabriella Gurrido. The choir is set to be taking a trip to New York in the spring of 2013.

Famous quotes containing the words colonial and/or chorus:

Are you there, Africa with the bulging chest and oblong thigh? Sulking Africa, wrought of iron, in the fire, Africa of the millions of royal slaves, deported Africa, drifting continent, are you there? Slowly you vanish, you withdraw into the past, into the tales of castaways, colonial museums, the works of scholars.
    Jean Genet (1910–1986)

For decades child development experts have erroneously directed parents to sing with one voice, a unison chorus of values, politics, disciplinary and loving styles. But duets have greater harmonic possibilities and are more interesting to listen to, so long as cacophony or dissonance remains at acceptable levels.
    Kyle D. Pruett (20th century)
