College Prowler - Content and Publication Types

Content and Publication Types

College Prowler content comes from current students attending academic institutions from across the United States and some international areas. The student author represents his or her school, supplying a subjective view of what the campus is really like. In addition to writing content for their school’s guidebook, student authors are also responsible for surveying their fellow peers and gathering anonymous feedback, which College Prowler users can then read to get an idea of what current students think about different aspects of the school. There are two types of College Prowler single-school guidebooks: traditional and career. In addition to the single-school guidebooks, College Prowler also produced The Big Book of Schools, a 1,000-page compendium of single schools. College Prowler has also produced books such as Urban Guru (a guide to life in Pittsburgh) and Ultimate Hoops Guide - Marquette University.

Famous quotes containing the words content, publication and/or types:

The President has paid dear for his White House. It has commonly cost him all his peace, and the best of his manly attributes. To preserve for a short time so conspicuous an appearance before the world, he is content to eat dust before the real masters who stand erect behind the throne.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

An action is the perfection and publication of thought. A right action seems to fill the eye, and to be related to all nature.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Our children evaluate themselves based on the opinions we have of them. When we use harsh words, biting comments, and a sarcastic tone of voice, we plant the seeds of self-doubt in their developing minds.... Children who receive a steady diet of these types of messages end up feeling powerless, inadequate, and unimportant. They start to believe that they are bad, and that they can never do enough.
    Stephanie Martson (20th century)
