Connections With Coleraine Academical Institution
Coleraine High School is Coleraine's all-girls school, Coleraine Academical Institution (informally Coleraine Inst) is the town's all-boys school. Connections between the two schools have become stronger over the past few years, with A Level students now being given the option to study at the opposite school for certain subjects not hosted by their current school. It is rumoured that the two schools will amalgamate in the coming years to form Coleraine Grammar.

Famous quotes containing the words connections, academical and/or institution:
“... feminism is a political term and it must be recognized as such: it is political in womens terms. What are these terms? Essentially it means making connections: between personal power and economic power, between domestic oppression and labor exploitation, between plants and chemicals, feelings and theories; it means making connections between our inside worlds and the outside world.”
—Anica Vesel Mander, U.S. author and feminist, and Anne Kent Rush (b. 1945)
“There is, indeed a more mitigated scepticism or academical philosophy, which may be both durable and useful, and which may, in part, be the result of this Pyrrhonism, or excessive scepticism, when its undistinguished doubts are corrected by common sense and reflection.”
—David Hume (17111776)
“A great deal of unnecessary worry is indulged in by theatregoers trying to understand what Bernard Shaw means. They are not satisfied to listen to a pleasantly written scene in which three or four clever people say clever things, but they need to purse their lips and scowl a little and debate as to whether Shaw meant the lines to be an attack on monogamy as an institution or a plea for manual training in the public school system.”
—Robert Benchley (18891945)
