Coffee Talk
"Coffee Talk with Linda Richman" are a series of sketches performed by Mike Myers on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. It ran from October 12, 1991, until October 15, 1994, although Myers (who had since left the show) reprised the role once more on March 22, 1997.
In the sketch, Myers plays a stereotypical Jewish middle-aged woman named Linda Richman with an exaggerated New York accent who sports long, painted fake nails; lots of gold jewelry; gaudy sweaters; large dark glasses; and big hair, which she constantly adjusts. This character was a spoof on his real-life mother-in-law, Linda Richman.

Famous quotes containing the words coffee and/or talk:
“Talk is a pure art. Its only limits are the patience of listeners who, when they get tired, can always pay for their coffee or change it with a friendly waiter and walk out.”
—John Dos Passos (18961970)
“George Peatty: Tell me something, wouldya Sherry? Just tell me one thing. Why did you ever marry me anyway?
Sherry Peatty: Oh, George. When a man has to ask his wife that, well, he just hadnt better, thats all. Why talk about it? Maybe its all to the good in the long run. After all, if people didnt have headaches what would happen to the aspirin industry?”
