Kings of Cochin
Veerakerala Varma, nephew of Cheraman Perumal, is the person traditionally believed to be the first king of Cochin. The written records of the dynasty, however, date from 1503 CE. The king of Cochin was also called Gangadhara Kovil Adhikaarikal, meaning Head of all Temples.
