Clunes Railway Station - Reopening

Reopening

In June 2010 it was announced that Clunes would be included as a stop on the re-opened railway line, when V/Line services were extended from Ballarat to Maryborough. The works to reopen the station cost $7 million. In March 2010 a new siding 140 metres in length was provided opposite the platform, to be used to stable track machines. The refurbished station was reopened for passenger railway purposes in December 2011, by Transport Minister Terry Mulder.
