Mini CITV is the slot that houses CITV's pre-school programming. It airs every weekday from 08:30 to 11:00. However, pre-school programming also airs as part of ITV Breakfast every weekend morning from 06:00 to 06:45 on the main CITV block. It launched on 2 November 2009, as part of a major revamp of CITV. A series of little animated spacemen characters called the Mini's are the mascots of the strand (similar to the yellow bugs of rival CBeebies).
