CITV-DT

CITV-DT (branded on-air as Global Edmonton) is the Global owned-and-operated television station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 13 from a transmitter located just off of Highway 21, southeast of the city.

Owned by Shaw Media, its studios are located on Allard Way Northwest in the Pleasantview neighborhood of Edmonton. This station can also be seen on Shaw Cable channel 8, Bell TV channel 240 and Shaw Direct channel 339. There is also a high definition feed available on Shaw Cable digital channel 211 and Telus Optik TV channel 610.

CITV is carried by the Cancom system from 1981 as an independent signal for Canadian cable television systems too distant to receive a variety of television signals over-the-air.

Its programming is similar to Global owned-and-operated sister station CICT-TV in Calgary. CITV's master control is also based out of CICT, along with the remainder of Shaw's television stations. The station carries the full Global network schedule, along with 39 hours a week of local news programming.
